Seminars & Workshops:
To provide a range of varied opinions
and a wider view of the world, IET organises various seminars and workshops for
students, which are addressed by eminent academic and professional personalities.
The prominent one:
Workshop on "Big Challenges Easy Solutions - LINUX" was held on the December 10
& 11 2004. Mr. Vivek Atray, former Director IT, Chandigarh, was the chief guest.
A National conference on "Composite Materials" in collaboration with PTU, Jalandhar,
on the March 18 & 19, 2005. Padma Bhushan Dr, R. N. Aggarwal, Director-Agni,

Sports: The secret to perpetual youth is an active mind and healthy
body. In pursuit of radiant treasures of good health, the institute provides excellent
facilities for track events, well designed fields and courts along with separate
gymnasium for boys and girls. Each year our students put an excellent
performance in the University tournaments. The proposed health academy in the premises
will have an additional facility for yoga and aerobics. The regular annual feature
includes a two day Annual Athletic Meet. Inter gruop and inter year tournaments are organised during activity period.
The institute has ficilities for Football, Hockey, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball,
Throwball. Lawn Tennis, Badminton and Athletics as the outdoor games and other activities
like obstacles, gymnasiun and indoor games are aslo available. |

Extra Curricular Activities:
Apart from academics and sports, students
at IET are also encouraged to participate in finer aspects of life. Among the extracurricular
activities students actively participate in debates, dramatics, literary activities,
fine arts, photography, singing, women's affairs, general knowledge contests. Events
like Women's Day, Republic Day, Environment Day and Engineering Day are also celebrated
with gusto.
Convocation, Cultural Programme, Tree Plantation, NSS Camp, NCC etc. are also included
during the session.
