Industrial visit Report of CSE and BCA students.html

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized a one-day Industrial Visit on 9th April 2025 for students of CSE and BCA to TecHangouts and Meander Software Pvt. Ltd., located in SAS Nagar, Mohali.

The visit commenced at 10:00 AM, firstly at TecHangouts, where Ms. Shilpa Verma (Resource Person) introduced the students to the company’s vision, ongoing projects, and the role of cutting-edge technologies AI, Web Development, and Mobile App Development in their daily operations. Students witnessed live project demonstrations and participated in a Q&A session. Post lunch, the visit continued to Meander Software Pvt. Ltd., where Mr. Anil Kumar (Resource Person) explained the end-to-end lifecycle of a software product, from requirements gathering to deployment. The session concluded with a motivational talk on preparing for industry roles and embracing innovation.

The coordinators of IET Bhaddal Technical Campus Ms. Jaspreet Kaur and Ms. Mandeep Kaur, ensured smooth conduct of the visit and maintained student engagement throughout the sessions. The main objective of the industrial visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application by providing students real-world exposure to current technologies, software development environments, and industry workflows. This initiative aimed to enhance the students’ understanding of industry expectations, software engineering practices, and to encourage them towards professional skill development.

Students gained insight into the organizational structure and workflows of IT companies. They understood the practical application of tools and technologies such as software development frameworks, project management systems, testing environments, and version control.

Interaction with industry professionals helped them understand current trends, career opportunities, and skill sets in demand, enhanced their awareness of work ethics, professional communication, and the importance of continuous learning in the tech industry.

It also motivated the students to explore internships and future employment opportunities in software companies.

It was a fruitful event thats concluded around 3:30 PM with a vote of thanks to the host organizations and their resource persons for their valuable time and knowledge-sharing.
