National Science Day celebrated at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus

National Science Day was celebrated at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus. Coordinator of this
event Dr. Taranjit Kaur Shared information about the National Science Day and said that in
1986, the Government of India decided to celebrate 28th February every year as National
Science Day in honor of Nobel Prize winner Dr. C.V. Raman.
On this occasion, science-related speech competition, poster making, digital project
exhibition, hardware science exhibition, digital poster making and science quiz competitions
etc. were conducted, in which students from different departments of the campus
participated and demonstrated their skills. Tejinder Singh, chairman of the institute,
extended his greetings to the students.
1st place in poster making competition was bagged by Tushar Sekhari, 1st place in digital
project exhibition was bagged by team of Om Andri, Keshav Raj and Anurag, 1st place in
hardware science exhibition was bagged by team of Damini, Manpreet Singh and Neha
Saini, 1st place in digital poster making was bagged by team of Nitish Bhardwaz and
Chetnaya Thakur and the team of Neha Saini and Rahul Chaudhary won the first place in
the science quiz.
IET Bhaddal Technical Campus Registrar-cum-Director Dr. S S Bindra while mentioning the
theme of National Science Day 2025 “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in
Science and Innovation for a Developed India” in his address said that it is very important
for science and technology to go hand in hand for proper development of the country.
Addressing the students in particular, he said that the need is that instead of using science
in a negative way, we should use it in a positive way and prove it as a boon for the society
and humanity which is our duty. After that, he gave certificates, medals and trophies to the
winning students of different competitions.
On this occasion Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Dr. Kanchan Sharma, Dr. Preet Kawal Kaur, Ar.
Gurpreet Singh, Vishal Arora, Onkar Singh, Bhawanpreet Kaur, Nileshwar Taak, Bharat
Bhushan and Student Coordinator Om Andri etc. were present.
