Drug De-addiction Awareness Campaign by IET Bhaddal Technical Campus

The Department of Electrical Engineering at IET Bhaddal Technical Campus, under the leadership of Head of Department Kamaljeet Singh, organized an awareness campaign at village Purkhali, Ropar on the theme "Say No to Drugs." Staff and students from the department actively participated in the campaign. On this occasion, HOD Kamaljeet Singh stated that the objective of this campaign is to visit different villages in the area to spread awareness among the villagers about the harmful effects of drug abuse on human health, the growing social evils in society and to convey the message of living a drug-free life. Chairman of the institution, Tejinder Singh, appreciated the initiative and said that although the Punjab Government is making special efforts to eliminate drug abuse in the state, this mission requires public support also.

Registrar-cum-Director of the institution Dr. S.S. Bindra, emphasized the need for everyone to work against drug abuse as a collective mission in order to eradicate it from society. He appealed to the students to remain steadfast in their efforts until the demon of drug addiction is completely wiped out and to encourage those suffering from addiction to give up this harmful habit.

On this occasion, Dr. Gurpreet Singh (Principal – Engineering), Parvinder Singh, Manpreet Singh, Harjeet Singh along with Sarpanch Nirmal Singh, Panch Bahadur Singh and Rakesh Kumar were also present.
