Expert Lecture on "Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare" Organized at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bhaddal

The Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences – IET Bhaddal Technical Campus organized a special expert lecture on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare” with the objective of creating awareness among students about how artificial intelligence is being used and integrated into healthcare.

The keynote speaker for the lecture was Nishchala Thakur, Research Scholar – IIT Ropar. The program began with a welcome address by Rohit Chandel, Assistant Professor, who warmly welcomed the keynote speaker, faculty, staff and students.

In her address, the keynote speaker explained, with great clarity and relevant examples, how artificial intelligence can bring revolutionary improvements in healthcare. She discussed in detail the role of AI in early disease detection, personalized treatment, efficient patient care and improved hospital management. She also familiarized the students with practical examples, recent case studies and the latest global research in this field, which not only increased their interest but also gave them a clear understanding of how technical knowledge can be applied in the healthcare sector.

An interactive session followed, during which students and staff shared their queries with Nishchala Thakur. The lecture concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Preet Kanwal Kaur, Principal, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the keynote speaker for sharing her valuable knowledge and appreciated the active participation of the students.

Registrar-cum-Director of the campus, Dr. S.S. Bindra, said that such lectures inspire innovation and take academic research to higher levels. He praised Dr. Preet Kanwal Kaur, Principal and the organizing team for arranging a lecture on such a high-level topic. The chief guest was honored with a memento by the institution. Overall, the lecture proved to be educational and inspiring.
